To Profile or Not To Profile..................

....I say PROFILE!!!
I mean, take a look at these assholes^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
None of them really look like a grandma or a baby or Joe Executive on his way to the convention in Boise.
These men are all of Middle Eastern descent, yet in order to not "offend" any "non-white" person, the government has adopted a program that more often than not lets people with hertitage similar to these thugs pass security gates without much of a second thought. You just can't take every 4th or 5th person if the 3d or the 6th look like Mohammed Atta or one of his evil henchmen. Get it?
Don't misunderstand, my father-in-law is 2nd- generation- in- America- Lebanese(his grandparents came over on the boat about 90 years ago), and I am not a racist person. However, the people of this country have got to get through their thick little noggins that if there is another attack, it will most likely be by people that look alot like these guys. Even my father-in-law, who has features similar to these guys, understands that and accepts it.
One of the first things his mother said upon seeing the pictures of these terrorists on TV was, "Those damn Arabs!", and if you didn't know better, you'd probably mistake her for an Arab.
If the people that crashed those jets on 9/11 were middle-class white guys from Beloit or Des Moines or something, do you think there would be complaints about profiling and racial discrimination? I seriously doubt it. However, I, myself, resembling a middle-class white guy from the midwest, would understand that discrimination toward me and my ilk would be necessary and I would do my best to cooperate with authorities.
There are many cases around the country where normal citizens(i.e. blacks, hispanics, asians) are wrongly profiled. They are harrassed just because of their ethnic hertitage. That is wrong. However, when it is known that a person of a certain ethinc group has committed a crime, would it be in anyone's best interest to profile someone of a totally different background, or would you concentrate on people of the same ethnic group?
To conclude, I state that profiling does work when used properly. Unfortunately, those in whom we have put our trust to protect us from harm and further terrorist activity can't seem to get past their fear that supporting a non- "PC" activity might cost them their re-election, when, truth be told, it would probably give them a landslide victory. I seriously do not think that the majority of the people in this country are so "PC" that they can't wrap their brains around the concept of profiling when they know that the odds are in favor of a terrorist attack coming from people of the same ethnic group as the 9/11 thugs.
But, to use a Dr. Phil soliliquism, IT'S NOT ABOUT US-- it's about THEM and whatever it takes to keep them in D.C., high-browing as if appointed to office by God.

Peace. Out.
